Winning ways

Excel has won a series of prestigious contracts and projects across the financial, technology, professional services and retail sectors in recent months.

Structured cabling

Leading the way was a prestigious multi-million pound structured cabling contract for a global investment bank.

The project, consisting of 50,000 outlets across three floors, involved a pre-terminated Cat6A IIM solution. The installation was carried out in a live environment over four months, using night time and weekend working to ensure no interference with day-to-day business.

Another major financial sector client has appointed Excel to deliver an ultra-reliable enterprise-wide telephony solution to support its EMEA-side operations – a rollout encompassing more than 16,000 users across 26 countries.

The end-to-end design, build & test and go-live project, will see the existing EOL legacy distributed Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) infrastructure being replaced with a centrally configured and managed IP-based architecture infrastructure converged on their existing global Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network.

A global technology giant chose Excel to build out a new UK production site that housed an on-site data centre of almost 100 cabinets. Due to the nature of their business, a state-of-the-art installation was required to ensure the new production site would meet an exacting global standard.

Technology audit

As part of a technology upgrade a global insurance company has engaged Excel to audit approximately 15,000 users with 46,000 desktop devices over 38 sites across the UK. The audit covers the data collation of all relevant information pertaining to telephony and IT devices.
