DeskQUERY™ real estate toolkit launches to FM industry
We were delighted to be at London’s Olympia last month for a successful launch of DeskQUERY™, Excel’s innovative real estate optimisation toolkit.
The official unveiling of this exciting new software solution was at a seminar presentation by Excel director Barry Horgan, looking at the way this new technology is set to transform the way the businesses manage and optimise the corporate workspace.
And the overwhelmingly positive reaction we received both after the seminar and throughout the two-day FM Event highlighted just how fundamental this issue is for corporate FM and Real Estate Managers.
As Barry put it in his presentation: “While spiralling real estate costs mean that each city desk space could easily cost £15,000 a year to support, research suggests that perhaps only 40% of this corporate real estate is actually being used at any given time.

Key features that appealed to those who saw DeskQUERY™ in action during the show included the accuracy and granularity of the real time data, the graphical interfaces and bespoke reporting, and the affordability of a solution that has the potential to drive millions of pounds of annual savings but runs simply and unobtrusively on the existing corporate LAN with no additional costs for sensors, readers or any other expensive hardware installation.
